Fulfilling from Shopify

Fulfill an order in Shopify as usual, and TaroStack ships it and moves the stock.

What it does

When you fulfill an order in Shopify, TaroStack records a shipment against its sales order. The stock leaves the location Shopify fulfilled from.

When to use it

Use it if your team already works in Shopify's Orders page, or if a fulfillment service ships for you.

Before you start

The order has come in, and its products are matched.

Steps

  1. In Shopify, open Orders and open the order.
  2. Press Fulfill item, and confirm the fulfillment.
  3. In TaroStack, open Sales and open the order.

What you should see

The order shows Shipped, and a shipment is listed with its items. Stock shows less at the location Shopify fulfilled from.

Good to know

A partial fulfillment in Shopify ships only those units in TaroStack, and the rest stay open.

If the shelf holds less than Shopify fulfilled, the sale is still recorded, because it has already happened. The shelf then shows below zero and Home lists it until you count it.

The shipment knows its lot if the item is tracked by lot, so a recall can find it later.
