Suppliers
Keep who sells to you, what they sell, at what price, and how long they take.
What it does
A supplier's page holds what they sell you, their prices, their lead time and how they've performed. TaroStack uses these to fill in purchase orders and plan your buying.
When to use it
Add a supplier before you order from them, and add a product for each item you buy from them.
Before you start
The items you buy exist.
Steps
- Open Suppliers, then press New supplier.
- Enter the name and details, then save.
- On the supplier's page, press Items, then Add a product.
- Choose the Item, and enter what it's Sold by the, Price per unit, Minimum order and Lead time.
- Tick Preferred supplier if you buy this item from them first.
- Press Add product.
What you should see
The product is listed under WHAT THEY SELL US, with its price and pack. After your first delivery, it also shows what you last paid. HOW THEY'VE DONE shows on-time deliveries for the last year.
Good to know
A supplier can also make goods for you. See Copacking.
A price can be in another currency. The purchase order then carries that currency.
