Replenishment and reorder points
Say when an item is low and how much to order, and TaroStack keeps watch.
What it does
A reorder point is the amount at which an item counts as low at a site. TaroStack then lists it on Home, suggests an order, and tells TaroCore about it.
When to use it
Set one for anything you can't afford to run out of. Items made to order may not need one.
Before you start
The item has a supplier if you buy it, or a recipe if you make it.
Steps
- Open Items and open the item.
- Press More, then choose Set reorder points.
- For each site, enter Reorder point and, if you need them, Order at least, Keep back and Most to hold.
- Press Save.
What you should see
The item's page shows reorder at beside each site. If stock is under the point, Home lists it under SOON, and Create purchase order suggests it.
Good to know
Free stock decides what's low, so stock promised to orders doesn't count.
A new store or a new business has no reorder points, so nothing is low until you set them.
TaroStack doesn't order by itself. You always check a draft before it becomes an order.
