A delivery of taro root arrives. You receive it against the purchase order, and it becomes lot R-2291.
Batch B-0412 of taro chips uses lot R-2291 and sea salt lot S-0107. Yield and cost are captured as you go.
Sixty-four bags go on sale as lot C-0412. Stock syncs to Shopify, and every order draws from the right lot.
If a supplier ever flags R-2291, you’ll see every batch and order it touched — in seconds, not days.
