Connecting Square

Connect your Square till, match its locations and items, and its sales come in as orders.

What it does

Connecting Square brings its locations, item variations and in-stock counts into TaroStack. After you match them, sales on the till become sales orders, and TaroStack checks its stock against Square's.

When to use it

Use it if you sell through Square at a shop or a market.

Before you start

You need permission to connect tills, which owners and admins have, and a Square account you can sign in to.

Steps

  1. Open Settings, then Integrations.
  2. Choose Square, and allow access on Square's page.
  3. Wait for the import to finish.
  4. Open the connection and match each location to a site, and each variation to an item. You can also leave one out.

What you should see

Square's sales appear in Sales, and the items they sold come off the shelf.

Good to know

When two counts differ, you choose whether TaroStack lists the difference or sends its own count to Square.
