Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and TaroStack for using TaroStack, the inventory, purchasing and production app at app.tarostack.com. By creating an account or using TaroStack, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the business you sign up for. If you don’t agree, please don’t use TaroStack.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms for your business.
• Keep your sign-in private. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite to your business, including what they can see and do.
• Tell us straight away at support@tarostack.com if you think someone has used your account without permission.

Free trial, plans and payment

• Every new business starts with a free 30-day trial. No card is needed to start it.
• To keep using TaroStack after the trial, choose a plan. Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment provider Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. We don’t refund part of a period, except where the law requires it.
• Prices are shown on our website and exclude any taxes that apply. If we change a price, we’ll tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you.
• If a payment fails and isn’t fixed, we may pause your business’s access until it is.

Your data is yours

• Everything you put into TaroStack, or bring in from services you connect, belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to run TaroStack for you, support you, and improve TaroStack, as our Privacy Policy explains.
• We never sell your data, and we do not use your business data to train our own AI models.
• You can export what’s on any screen as a CSV file at any time.

Connected services

TaroStack can connect to services such as Shopify, Square and QuickBooks. When you connect one, you let TaroStack read and write the data that connection needs. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms, and we aren’t responsible for their availability or for changes they make.

TaroCore and automatic reading

TaroCore answers questions, understands spoken and typed commands, and reads photos and PDFs into imports. It can be wrong. Check what it suggests before you rely on it, especially quantities, costs and orders. Nothing it reads from a document is saved until you approve it. Daily limits apply to spoken commands and document reading.

Fair use

Please don’t:

• break the law or anyone else’s rights using TaroStack;
• try to get into another business’s data, or test, probe or overload our systems without our written permission;
• copy, resell or rebuild TaroStack, or use it to build a competing product;
• upload anything harmful, such as malware.

Keeping TaroStack running

We work hard to keep TaroStack available and your data safe, and we back it up. Even so, we can’t promise it will never be interrupted, and we sometimes need to update or change features. We’ll tell you ahead of any change that takes away something important you use.

Ending

• You can stop using TaroStack and cancel your plan at any time.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or leaves a payment unpaid, and we’ll tell you first unless it’s urgent or the law stops us.
• You can ask us to delete your business and its data by writing to support@tarostack.com. We delete it within 30 days, apart from what the law requires us to keep, such as billing records.

Disclaimers and liability

TaroStack is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms, including that it fits a particular purpose. TaroStack helps you keep records and plan; decisions about your stock, food safety, recalls, taxes and accounts remain yours.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost business, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll email the owner of each business at least 30 days before the change applies. Continuing to use TaroStack after that means you accept the new terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaiʻi, United States.
