Copacking
Have somebody make for you, or make and keep goods for somebody else.
What it does
TaroStack handles copacking in both directions. A supplier can make your goods at their own site. You can also make or store goods for a client, and keep their stock apart from yours.
When to use it
Use a maker's site when another business makes your products. Use Clients when your business makes or stores products that belong to somebody else.
Before you start
For a maker, add them as a supplier and a site run by them. For a client, turn on We make or keep goods for clients on Settings › Inventory & purchasing.
Steps
- For a maker, send your ingredients with a transfer, then choose their site in Make it in on Make a Batch.
- For a client, open Clients and press New client.
- Press Receive goods on the client's page when their goods arrive.
- Make a batch of their item as usual.
- Press Release goods when they ask for stock to go out.
What you should see
A client's stock carries their name in Stock and Lots. Their page lists their goods, their runs and their releases. A maker's site says who runs it in Sites.
Good to know
A client's goods aren't yours, so they stay out of your stock value.
The number of clients depends on your plan. The limit is shown on the rule in Settings.
