Consumption and finished goods
What a batch really used and made, including waste and more than one output.
What it does
Finishing a batch records what it really used and what it really made. A recipe sets the expected amounts, and the Finish sheet lets you record the real ones.
When to use it
Use it every time a batch didn't go exactly to recipe, such as a spoiled tray or a heavier pour.
Before you start
The batch is started.
Steps
- Open Production and open the order.
- Press Finish.
- Enter Made, the good units you ended up with.
- Enter Thrown away for anything you lost.
- Open What it used, and change any amount that differs from the recipe.
- Press Finish at the foot of the sheet.
What you should see
The ingredients drop by what you entered, and the item rises by what you made. The lot's page lists each ingredient lot under MADE FROM.
Good to know
Waste stays in the cost, so the good units carry what the batch really cost.
A batch can make less than planned. Close short on the order says the rest will never be made.
