Phones and working offline

Count, receive, move, ship and record batches where there's no signal.

What it does

TaroStack works on a phone, and the jobs done away from a signal keep working: counting, receiving, moving stock, shipping and recording a batch.

When to use it

Use it in a cold room, in a yard, or anywhere your connection drops.

Before you start

Open TaroStack on the device while you still have a signal. On a site's page, Keep for offline prepares that site.

Steps

  1. Open Sites and open the site, then press Keep for offline.
  2. Do your work as usual when the signal drops.
  3. Check that each entry shows as pending.
  4. Reconnect. TaroStack sends each entry in the order you did it.

What you should see

Pending entries clear when they're sent. Each one is dated when it happened, not when it was sent.

Good to know

If a pending entry is refused when it's sent, TaroStack tells you and keeps it, so nothing is lost.
